Surrealist Project

My surrealist collage is about what dreams feel like to me. How I see dreams is that they are pieces of reality and a bridge between consciousness and unconsciousness. I imagine dreams as a familiar place but things are altered in strange ways, which is what i tried to portray in this collage. I chose images that gave me a dream like feeling such as the moon, distant mountains, or city lights at night. I think of the birds as mystical creatures and the people standing on the cliff are the people who are dreaming and looking into the hidden parts of their consciousness. Even though most of my dreams are completely random I still see the as ethereal and mysterious. It might be the fact the consciousness and why dreams occur in the first place is not fully understood, and that mystery behind it makes dreams seem so interesting.
